Tool steel is an essential material for demanding manufacturing applications. For selected products, we offer tool steel with a reduced CO₂e footprint, based on our electric steelmaking route. The respective product carbon footprint provides transparent information on the CO₂e emissions associated with the product.
At GMH Gruppe’s steelworks, we use pre-consumer, post-consumer and internally generated scrap as raw materials for steel production. In selected collaborations with customers, production scrap and end-of-life tools can be returned to the steel production process and used as input material for new steel.
