It is important to us that all our employees are able to maintain a sustainable balance between their job and their private life. By means, for example, of individual working-hours models, possible childcare grants and the optimisation of our pro-family human-resources policy. This is one of the reasons we were awarded the "Family-friendly employer in the Osnabrück region" seal of quality by the City and County of Osnabrück family-welfare organisations.

The health of our employees is an asset of inestimable value. Protection of health within the company is thus the focus of many processes at Georgsmarienhütte GmbH. Regular preventative occupational medical examinations, pre-appointment examinations and optional general preventative medical care (e.g. bowel cancer prevention examinations, flu inoculations, etc.) round off our health-protection programme. It goes without saying that the GMH company doctor is subject to the doctors' professional code of secrecy. In cooperation with external partners, we also provide comprehensive social advisory services and can also arrange preferential conditions for a selected range of therapeutic institutions.
Our employees are our most valuable asset. We protect them by assuring best possible working conditions, backed up by numerous safety-at-work provisions and systems and their continuous review and validation. - A TOP training company
The occupational training of young people has a long tradition at Georgsmarienhütte and is assigned great importance. In 2015, the company submitted itself, with complete success, to the multi-level certification procedure of the Osnabrück-Emsland-Grafschaft Bentheim Chamber of Commerce, demonstrating the outstanding quality of its training provisions. The company was thus one of the first to be named a TOP training company in the Chamber's catchment area.
- Cooperation and cost concessions
We are at home in our region and maintain contacts and cooperation with numerous regional institutions, including, for example, the Osnabrück Zoo. Our employees also benefit from this, in the form of numerous price and admission concessions. We also subsidise employees' meals in our Bistro.
