Innovation with tradition
Bishop Steering Technology Pty Ltd. was founded in 1957 by Dr Arthur E Bishop. His recipe for success was drawing together a multi-national team of engineers and intellectual property protection experts. Thanks to this combination of expertise, many innovative automotive steering technologies have been launched on the market over the past decades. The company, which is based in Rosehill, (Sydney) Australia, owns over 20 patents & patent applications worldwide.
Variable ratio steering racks
The hot-forged D-shaped Bishop steering racks are perfect for existing models that require a variable ratio, as the features of the existing rack design can be easily reproduced or improved. The variable ratio - specially for electrical steering - offers OEMs a great deal of flexibility in design with regard to vehicle handling and energy saving.
Unique Bishop valve technology
The key advantages of Bishop valve technology are the very low noise levels and the flexibility of the pressure behaviour. Although the world's current leading OEMs generally use electrical steering, Bishop continues to offer special machines for the production of steering values.
Since 2011, Bishop Steering Technology Pty Ltd. has been part of GMH Gruppe, where it collaborates with other strong units to develop top-quality steering systems.
