Quality assurance at WSK
Our stringent and all-encompassing quality assurance system extends from inspection of incoming materials in our on-site laboratory right through to certification by internationally respected classification societies. Learn more about quality at WSK here.
Quality management system
WSK's quality assurance system is certified in accordance with DIN ISO 9001/EN 29001. Highly committed employees assure the constant high quality of our products and processes right through from purchasing to delivery. You can view still more certificates here.
Our on-site laboratory
Our on-site laboratory with its specially trained experts assures the optimum quality of our materials and their conformity to international standards. In addition to tests to determine mechanical strength and Charpy V-notch impact strength, hardness testing and chemical analyses, we also submit our materials to metallographic inspection to determine properties such as microstructure, intercrystalline corrosion and oxide cleanness.
Non-destructive testing
Non-destructive testing methods are indispensable in quality control and quality assurance. At WSK, ultrasonic (UT), magnetic particle (MT), dye-penetrant (PT) and visual inspections (VT) are performed by specially trained employees certified in conformity to Levels 1, 2 and 3 of DIN EN ISO 9712. Ultra-high-precision technologies are installed and are stringently applied for this purpose. Our magnetic powder inspection system for crankshafts is one of the largest in the world and permits combined current and field flow inspections in a single operation. Inspection technology
Not only are all products meticulously visually inspected by highly experienced WSK employees before they leave our premises - their dimensional accuracy is also verified, using measuring methods which are continually validated by accredited quality assurance organisations.

All products can be supplied on request with an inspection certificate in accordance with EN 10204.
